If you have been getting frustrated lately, by the unintended behavior of the backspace key in SQLDeveloper worksheets, here’s how you can get that stupid key to work again 🙂
For versions before 2.2.x
1. Go to Tools > Preferences > Accelerators >
2. Click on Modify Loading Preset > Reset to Defaults
For versions 2.2.x and beyond
1. Go to Tools > Preferences > Shortcut Keys
2. Click on More Options > Load Keyboard Scheme > Reset to Default
